Planning a New York Wedding, Step by Step
Start twelve months out with the date, guest count and venue. New York venues book early, so this one decision shapes everything after it.
Six months out, lock the look: colour palette, florals, linens and lighting. We build one design board so every vendor works from the same picture.
In the final month we confirm the timeline down to the minute, walk the venue, and plan setup so the room is finished before your first guest arrives.

Blush & Gold: The Palette That Never Misses
Start with ivory linens as your calm base. Add blush through florals and napkins, never everywhere at once, then let gold do the sparkling: candleholders, cutlery, frame edges and balloon accents.
Finish with one deeper note, like burgundy ribbon or charcoal signage, to keep the sweetness grown-up. The result photographs beautifully in daylight and candlelight.

Milestone Birthdays That Feel Grown-Up & Fun
Anchor the room with one hero moment: a balloon arch and backdrop in their favourite colours, with the milestone number built into the design rather than added as an afterthought.
Add a photo-friendly dessert table, a signature drink or mocktail and lighting that flatters everyone. Keep kids’ milestones playful with themed props, and adult milestones elevated with metallics, florals and lounge corners.

Hosting the Holidays: Christmas to New Year’s Eve
For Christmas, layer pine, candles and one metallic (gold for warmth, silver for frost) and keep centrepieces low so conversation flows.
Thanksgiving loves texture: linen, wood and amber glass. New Year’s Eve is the moment for height and sparkle: tall candles, confetti moments and a backdrop guests can pose against at midnight.
Book holiday dates early. December weekends go first.

A Softer Kind of Baby Shower
Choose one hero colour and two supporting tones, then repeat them in balloons, florals and the dessert table so the room feels intentional.
Give guests a clear path: welcome sign, gift table, seating, then the photo corner. Plan the reveal or cake moment for when everyone has arrived and the light is best.

Company Events People Actually Enjoy
Start with flow. Guests should find a drink, a seat and a conversation within a minute of arriving, so we plan bars, food stations and standing tables before decor.
Brand the moments that get photographed: the entrance, the stage and the step-and-repeat. Everywhere else, let candlelight, florals and good lighting do the work.

Garden Receptions Under the Lights
Pick linens that pop against green grass: aqua, ivory or soft blue. Gold chairs and glassware catch the last of the sun and the first of the string lights.
Always plan a weather backup and lighting for after dark. Wrapped tree trunks and hanging lanterns turn a lawn into a ballroom.
